Dinner at Bongo's

If you are going to see Disney World, the way to do it is with the All-in-One-Hopper Pass.  It will give you access to all the attractions in Disney World.   It starts with a 5 day pass, which you can use any time you want, they never expire, and you can add days to them any time you want.

Unfortunately, there is only one way to find out how many days are left on your pass.   If you forget or loose track, drop by a Disney Ticket Office or Disney Customer Relations and they can scan your pass and tell you how many days are left on it.   There is a Customer Relations/Ticket Booth in Downtown Disney.  So that is where we headed our first night in town, so we could plan our itinerary.  We had two pre-paid Universal Studio passes, and two All-in-One-Hoppers.

The nice folks at the Disney Ticket Office informed us we had two days left on our passes.  After taking in some of the sights in Downtown Disney we settled down for dinner at Bongo's (actually it was one of the only places left open after eleven on a week night to serve us).

Almost dreaming, we were drawn to the crowd dining on the deck, we followed marimba beat pulsating from this two story antebellum mansion.

It is strictly Latin at this club.   Some people were dancing the conga.  They actually played something that I could recognize from Carlos Santana.

Wish I had a picture of my dinner to share with you.  It was heavenly.   Unfortunately, it was too tempting for me to resist long enough to snap a shot for you.  If you go, definitely stick with the daily specials.  They are a great deal at $15 or less.

I had an authentic Cuban chicken dish, sautéed in a sweet a special in peppers and onions sauce, which went extremely well with my Peach Martinis.  It was served on two plates.  On the side there sat a mixture of black beans and rice along with some (sweet) green, cooked bananas.  Everything had an ethnic Cuban name, which to save my life, I can not remember now.
