If you receive an email from your bank, merchant service or other financial institution requesting that you confirm your account information, ignore the message.  If you feel that the message is in the least bit genuine, you should contact your bank by telephone and report the incident.  This message is totally bogus.  It is an attempt by the spammer to acquire your account information so they can make fraudulent charges.  Following is an example of one of these messages.  Please note that these messages may even include your name and other identifying information.
